Russia - the European Union. Gas Aspect on May, 21st, 2010.
The first conference "Energy Dialogue: Russia - the European Union. Gas Aspect" was held in May 2006. The Forum has become a significant platform for the indepth discussion of the international energy cooperation.
350 representatives of the executive and legislative authorities, industry and international associations, the leading power and gas companies, academic and business circles of Russia and the European Union will discuss the prospects of gas industry development and use of natural gas, the issues of international legal regulation in the energy sector.
Speakers of the Conference are: Mr. Valery Yazev, Vice President of the State Duma, President of the Russian Gas Society, Mr. Domenico Dispenza, President of the European Union of the Natural Gas Industry, Dr. Abdul Rahim Hashim, President of the International Gas Union (IGU), H.E.
Vladimir Chizhov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the European Union and the European Energy Communities in Brussels, Mr. Stanislav Tsygankov, Head of the International Business Department of Gazprom OJSC, Mr. Philip Lowe, Director General DG ENER of the European Commission, Mr. Jean-François Cirelli, Vice-Chairman and President of GDF SUEZ, Dr. Bernhard Reutersberg, Chairman of the Executive Board of Ruhrgas AG, Mr. Werner Auli, Member of the OMV Executive Board, CEO of OMV Gas & Pover GmbH, Mr. Eugeniy Bakouline, Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz of Ukraine and some others.
During the Conference the Agreement on Cooperation between the Russian Gas Society and the National Gas Union of Ukraine to be undersigned by Mr.
Valery Yazev, President of the Russian Gas Society and Mr. Eugeniy Bakouline, President of the National Gas Union of Ukraine.
The Joint Statement of the Russian Gas Society and the European Union of the Natural Gas Industry will be announced at the Conference.
