Wieder einmal sorgte die Deutsche Casemod-Meisterschaft (DCMM) in diesem Jahr auf der hobbytronic (16. bis 20. April) für großes Medien- und Besucherinteresse. Die PC-Bastler traten in der Messe Westfalenhallen Dortmund in den Kategorien Case Modification (Veränderung des PC-Gehäuses) und Case Construction (Konstruktion eines völlig neuen PC-Gehäuses) an. Neu war in diesem Jahr die Einführung einer Sonderkategorie: Umgebaute Unterhaltungselektronik (CE-Mod).
