New healthcare division director at walter services

As of 1 August 2010, walter services has a new director: Dr Anita Frankenberger (47) is taking over from the previous director, Dr Frank Birnbaum and will in future lead the healthcare division. The doctor of chemistry began her career in various consultancy and product manager positions, including with the pharmaceutical groups Novartis and Boehringer Ingelheim, before moving to the chemical division of Merck KGaA in 2001. Until 2005, Dr Anita Frankenberger's areas of responsibility there included international marketing communication in the area of life sciences and analytics. Before joining the management of walter services, Dr Frankenberger was responsible for, inter alia, marketing and business development in various management positions at Abbotts Medical Optics. As of 2008, she was responsible there as the Director of the Marketing EAME Division for cataract and refractive implants and, as a member of the European management team, for strategic marketing, product positioning, development and implementation of the EAME marketing plan, as well as the development and implementation of product strategies. Dr Anita Frankenberger has excellent knowledge of and experience in the industry, which will in future benefit the expanding business of the walter services holding company.
