WABCO Showcases World-Class Services Capabilities at Automechanika Dubai 2015; Highlights Retrofit, Repair, and Training Solutions for Company's Leading Safety and Efficiency Technologies
WABCO will feature its broad portfolio of retrofit, repair, remanufacturing, and training solutions for the company's most advanced safety and efficiency technologies in the region. WABCO's differentiated service offerings help commercial vehicle fleets and operators improve vehicle maintenance, operating cost and up-time. The company will display a wide array of aftermarket services for a range of its leading products and systems, including:
- Advanced OnLane™ - camera-based lane departure warning continuously monitors the vehicle's position within lane markings. WABCO's OnLane is an advanced driver assistance system that alerts the driver of unintentional lane changes via acoustic and visual warnings. Thereby, the system improves driver attentiveness, as well as overall vehicle and road safety. WABCO's OnLane is easy to retrofit on a wide range of commercial vehicles.
- New OptiTire™- WABCO's next generation of tire pressure monitoring for trucks and trailers is the industry's first system that allows vehicle builders to choose either external or internal wheel sensors. OptiTire tracks tire temperature and enhances early leakage detection, which helps to improve vehicle maintenance and up-time. WABCO's OptiTire increases fuel economy up to 2 percent and extends a tire's lifetime as the system continuously supports keeping tire pressure at recommended levels. The company's latest tire pressure monitoring system is easy to retrofit on a wide range of commercial vehicles.
- Industry award-winning Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) - WABCO's AMT technology helps commercial vehicle fleet operators to improve fuel economy, driver effectiveness and vehicle safety. It automatically engages the vehicle's clutch and gear shift actuation. WABCO's AMT takes into account the driver's operation, engine torque, vehicle load and road inclination, resulting in optimized gear shifting. WABCO's AMT technology helps improve fuel economy up to 3 percent under certain conditions. In addition, it enhances driver ease-of-use and comfort, enabling them to further focus on vehicle and road safety. WABCO's AMT also helps reduce wear on transmission components, resulting in lower maintenance costs. WABCO offers effective diagnostic and repair solutions, as well as related training programs to extend the lifetime of AMTs on trucks in revenue service today.
