VoiceObjects Solution Now Rated “Avaya Compliant”
The VoiceObjects phone application server enables businesses to deploy and easily manage automated customer service applications that are personalized for each caller. The product uses Web services to integrate contact center and enterprise information technology assets and supports multimodal phone applications, which may have voice, video, graphics and text interfaces.
The VoiceObjects Server 6.1 is now compliance-tested by Avaya for compatibility with: Avaya Interactive Response 2.0, a standards-based self-service platform that uses speech and touchtone to automate contact center transactions; and Avaya Voice Portal 3.0, a next-generation software platform for self-service solutions that can speech-enable Web services across a highly distributed enterprise.
“VoiceObjects’ phone application server is a perfect match for Avaya contact center self-service technologies,” said Michael Codini, chief technology officer, VoiceObjects. “Now, enterprises with Avaya solutions can easily deliver the state-of-the-art customer service experiences that a VoiceObjects phone application server creates.”
One of the companies benefiting from the interoperability of VoiceObjects and Avaya solutions is Versatel, a telecommunications carrier based in Germany that provides phone and broadband services to more than 600,000 business and residential customers.
“Versatel chose VoiceObjects to provide a phone self-service application that categorizes and qualifies customers calling the customer service center and creates sophisticated customer reports combining data from our CRM system,” said Andreas Matthias, Versatel’s head of CRM private customers. “Because the VoiceObjects solution was pre-tested for Avaya interoperability, we were able to deploy the portal with confidence and with less effort than anticipated. That translated directly into bigger savings and better service for our customers.”
VoiceObjects is a member of the Avaya DeveloperConnection Program—an initiative to develop, market and sell innovative third-party products that interoperate with Avaya technology and extend the value of a company’s investment in its network.
As a gold member of the program, VoiceObjects is eligible to submit products for compatibility testing by the Avaya Solution Interoperability and Test Lab in Lincroft, N.J. There a team of Avaya engineers develops a comprehensive test plan for each application to verify whether it is Avaya compliant. Doing so ensures businesses can confidently add best-in-class capabilities to their network without having to replace their existing infrastructure—speeding deployment of new applications and reducing both network complexity and implementation costs.
“By offering compliance testing to the many innovative companies like VoiceObjects who are members of our DeveloperConnection program, Avaya promotes fully interoperable solutions that help businesses unleash powerful new possibilities,” said Eric Rossman, vice president, developer relations and technical alliances, Avaya. “They are able to use Intelligent Communications to connect employees and customers to information from wherever they are, over whatever device they have available – getting more out of their multivendor network and delivering new value to their bottom line.”
