Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) today announced a new Power Metal Strip® meter shunt resistor that offers 3-W power capability in the 5515 size package, with extremely low resistance values down to 100 micro Ohm .

The WSMS5515 meter shunt resistor features a proprietary processing technique that produces very low resistance values from 100 micro Ohm to 500 micro Ohm , which provide increased accuracy in current meter shunt applications for industrial and residential electronic power meters.

The new resistor increases accuracy to help designers meet specific customer requirements and thus provide end users with more accurate metering of electric fwxqs.
