Reorganisation of Vfw virtually completed

(PresseBox) (Cologne, )
Vfw has announced that the reorganisation commenced in November 2007 following its takeover by Reverse Logistics GmbH in the spring has almost been completed. On the Board of Directors, Uwe Helmerking is now the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Legal Officer, Jens Thomas, a longstanding Vfw employee and the company's authorised signatory, has taken over as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Information Officer, while Marc Zube is responsible for personnel. Dr Michael Heising has run sales and strategy in his role as RLG's Director Group Development since April, and recently also took over responsibility for on-site sales. Achim Winter is responsible for strategy and marketing.

The sales division in particular has been reorganised in the meantime. Vfw has invested heavily and hired experienced, high-calibre staff. "In view of the demands of the amended Packaging Ordinance and the affected sectors, Vfw has increased its sales activity, and already has 11 account managers," says Dr. Heising. "Together with our sales staff at Cycleon and CCR, a total of about 30 key accounts managers are working for us. As a result, we're perfectly placed to continue growing strongly in the packaging sector." Vfw has been selling take-back systems for more than ten years. It therefore has plenty of experience dealing with the German Packaging Ordinance. Vfw was also one of the first companies, aside from DSD, to be licensed for the German dual recycling system.
"The Reverse Logistics Group is a full-service provider in the field of reverse logistics and waste management, and packaging and Vfw are an integral and indispensable part of our business," says Reverse Logistics Group Managing Director Achim Winter.
