Gerd Wolfram, Birgit Gampl, Peter Gabriel (Eds.): The RFID Roadmap: The Next Steps for Europe. Springer: Berlin/Heidelberg 2008.
The results of the European project CE RFID are published in the book "The RFID Roadmap: The Next Steps for Europe". The volume summarises the findings of the project's expert workshops and discussions. It will be released by Springer on September 3rd, 2008.
At present, there is a perceivable shift from RFID pilot projects of the early days towards a broad deployment of RFID leading to an increase of efficiency and innovation of processes. In order to accelerate the advancement of RFID technology CE RFID has identified coordinated European efforts. Elaborated by a network of about 200 experts from European RFID technology providers, vendors and end users, the results of CE RFID are recapitulated in this publication. By providing a comprehensive overview of the state of affairs of RFID in Europe, covering areas of standardisation, user guidelines, legislation, technology development, and research and development, the book is an indispensable source of reference for decision makers dealing with RFID.
The results of CE RFID and the book will be presented at the Conference:
