VÄTH Automobiltechnik and an extraordinary every day hero - Mercedes CITAN CDI
On the other side, VÄTH Motorentechnik GmbH – the superior Mercedes specialist – is the expert for the maintenance of the latest Mercedes-Benz engines as well as the preservation and restoration of classic cars. At VÄTH, two high-profile partners are consolidated to form a professional alliance. The VÄTH team truly lives its company slogan „VÄTH Give Your Car Wings“ and convince with high-quality craftsmanship and well-engineered overall concepts.
These are the details about their current project car, a Mercedes-Benz van Citan CDI (W415). The VÄTH experts implanted this urban hero an individual electronic optimization into the engine compartment. The Citan's power expands to 135 HP (= 99 kW), 320 ft-lb and 165 km/h max top speed. The price for the power package: 1.011,50 Euro plus 238,00 Euro assembling charges. A sporty lowering spring kit reduced the distance between the Mercedes and the road by 30 mm, providing a distinguished stance and a high level of security and comfort. Including axle alignment, this feature costs 345,10 Euro and 416,50 Euro for assembly. In order to stop the speedy van in time, the brake system also received an upgrade with steel flex lines and proven racing brake oil. This procedure adds 535,50 Euro plus 238,00 Euro montage to the VÄTH invoice.
The VÄTH wheels consist of one-piece rims in 8,0 J x 18 for both axles. These are available in black-matte or alternative with a fully polished surface and a black inner rim for 267,75 Euro. The price for the necessary adapter kit amounts to 333,20 Euro.
The exterior upgrade of the Citan version by VÄTH has been chosen very thoroughly. Polished stainless steel pipes as well as stainless steel sheets serve as running boards. This special equipment is available for 505,75 Euro plus 214,20 Euro assembly. In addition VÄTH offers a matching load sill protector made of high-polished stainless steel for 71,40 Euro as well as front grille bars in chrome optic for 95,20 Euro. The distinguished VÄTH company logo, consisting of single chromed letters for 33,32 Euro and a VÄTH license-plate holder for 9,52 Euro compliment the rear end of the Citan . Last but not least, a stylish and durable floor mat set in deep black velour with the silver colored VÄTH logo upgrades the interior for 226,10 Euro. Above-mentioned prices include the value added tax.
No matter if the final decision is made for the all-in-variant including the output increase, lowering kit, wheel set and running boards for almost 4.700 Euro or for the visual version for an estimate of 3.500 Euro (as described above, but without output increase): the Mercedes Citan defined by VÄTH will offer the client a totally new and improved driving experience and, goes without saying, creates an impression to steer a fundamentally different vehicle.
