Ein neues ambulantes Sportnachsorgeangebot für Menschen mit Tumorerkrankungen bietet die Universität Leipzig ab Januar 2008

Durch die Krebserkrankung haben viele Betroffene ein verändertes Körper- und Selbstwertgefühl. Hinzu kommt, dass die Patienten/innen oftmals schlecht darüber informiert sind, was sie ihrem Körper an Belastungen zumuten können. Das neue Sportangebot soll den Betroffenen bei der Bewältigung diese Probleme helfen.

Der Rehabilitationssport findet einmal wöchentlich, immer freitags von 15.00-16.00 Uhr, unter fachlicher Anleitung statt und beinhaltet ein abgestimmtes dosiertes Sportprogramm aus Ausdauer-, Kraft-, Beweglichkeits- und Entspannungsübungen unter Berücksichtigung krankheitsspezifischer Einschränkungen. Sport treiben innerhalb einer Gruppe kann helfen, neue Lebensfreude zu finden und ermöglicht eine aktive Beteiligung am Gesundheitsprozess.
