Hochkarätiger Referent mit einem spannenden Thema beim Neuro-Kognitionswissenschaftlichen Kolloquium in der Universität Bremen. Professor Joachim K. Krauss ist Direktor der Klinik für Neurochirurgie an der Medizinischen Hochschule Hannover und in Deutschland einer der führenden Vertreter der stereotaktischen Neurochirurgie. Dabei werden invasive Eingriffe am Gehirn vorgenommen, bei denen der Kopf des Patienten und die medizinischen Instrumente in einem fest verschraubten Rahmen fixiert sind, um höchste Genauigkeit zu erreichen. Durch diese Eingriffe kann man bei verschiedenen neurologischen und psychiatrischen Erkrankungen noch überzeugendere und lang anhaltende Heilungserfolge erzielen, wenn durch Medikamente oder andere Therapien keine Verbesserung der Krankheit mehr erreicht werden kann.
