Affordable Channel Branding and Graphic Overlaying from TV One Demonstrated at IBC 2009

(PresseBox) ( Margate, Kent, )
TV One are demonstrating how simple and affordable channel branding, live graphic overlaying and logo insertion can be at the IBC 2009 Exhibition taking place in Amsterdam. Using just a C2-2355A Universal HD/SD video processor, a PC and a graphic tablet, TV One satisfies a vast number of application requirements for the Broadcast market.

The C2-2355A is designed for ease of use when providing high-quality scaling in any direction between standard video, HD-SDI, DVI or Analog computer and HDTV signals, whilst maintaining the many extra features and functions commonly found on more expensive devices such as Chromakey, Lumakey, Picture-in-Picture, Edgeblending, Mixing and Genlocking.

The Chromakey/Lumakey feature of the unit will be highlighted throughout the entirety of the IBC 2009 Exhibition on the TV One Stand with ongoing demonstrations of how the C2-2355A can be used to overlay computer graphics, animation and text in Realtime onto an SD or HD video signal. These applications include drawing in Realtime over sports footage using paint software and a graphic tablet, channel branding and logo insertion, graphics and text overlaying. Like all CORIO®2 based products, the 4:4:4 sampling format ensures that precise keying at pixel level can be achieved.

The keyed PC graphics are overlayed onto the video using the included Picture-in-Picture function of the C2-2355A and can be faded in and out. The PIP Window containing the graphics can be positioned anywhere on the screen and the zoom and shrink feature allows all or part of the graphics to be increased or decreased in size. There is also a built-in Freeze function which enables the user to store the keyed graphic in the framestore so that it remains frozen in position over the background video while the connected PC can be used for other tasks simultaneously.

For more information and to see these applications in action, visit the TV One Stand 7.F10 at IBC 2009 held September 11-15 at the Amsterdam RAI.
