New gas pressure control device with an integrated crash sensor

(PresseBox) (Putzbrunn, ) Truma Gerätetechnik GmbH & Co. KG, the comfort specialist for caravans and campers, has set new standards once again in the gas supply field. The new gas pressure control devices MonoControl CS for singlecylinder gas systems or the gas tank and DuoControl CS for dualcylinder gas systems guarantee safe operation of the liquid gas system when the vehicle is moving.

Whilst the previous safety system "Truma SecuMotion" only worked based on a pressure drop principle (e.g. when a line ruptured), the new gas pressure control system has an integrated crash sensor. In the event of an accident, the innovative mechanical protection device interrupts the gas flow in the vehicle from an impact speed of around 15 to 20 km/h. The two control devices MonoControl CS and DuoControl CS then work completely without power and independent of pressure losses.

The new control devices MonoControl CS and DuoControl CS have also retained the triedandtested components such as the impactresistant casing with its sturdy metal holder and the integrated test connectors.

As previously, it is connected to the gas cylinders using highpressure hoses with an integrated hose rupture guard. The universal gas cylinder connection therefore allows the system to be used anywhere in Europe and because the MonoControl CS and DuoControl CS satisfy all standards, regulations and directives, the liquid gas systems can even be used when driving.

Assembly is easy. The device can be mounted either vertically on the back wall or horizontally on the roof of the gas cylinder box. It can also be mounted even in the smallest of cylinder boxes as these controls can be fitted in a number of ways. The uncomplicated installation therefore also simplifies retrofitting in older caravans or campers.

The new gas pressure control systems will be available from dealers from Spring 2010 onwards. There is also a 50 mbar version of all systems for older vehicles.
