Trenz Electronic introduces new Xilinx Spartan-6 industrial-grade FPGA module

Bünde, Germany, (PresseBox) - Xilinx Spartan-6 industrial-grade FPGA micro-modules with USB 2.0, large DDR3 SDRAM and small dimensions, ready for use. Mechanically and largely electrically compatible with Trenz Electronic TE0300.

Trenz Electronic, announces the availability of its TE0630 series, a family of FPGA-based industrial micro-modules for harsh environments and pervasive deployment.

TE0630 integrates a leading-edge Xilinx Spartan-6 FPGA, a mini-USB 2.0 device port, 1 Gbit (128-Mbyte) DDR3 SDRAM with 16-bit width, 8 Mbyte Flash memory for configuration and operation, and powerful switch-mode power supplies for all on-board voltages. A large number of configurable I/Os are provided via rugged high-speed stacking connectors. TE0630 has low dimensions of 47.5 x 40.5 mm. This makes TE0630 fully mechanically and largely electrically backward compatible with Trenz Electronic TE0300 Xilinx Spartan-3E FPGA micro-modules. Customized versions, as well as modules with industrial-grade components are available upon request.

Developed as a powerful OEM module and combined with its evaluation board, TE0630 is perfectly suitable for educational and research activities. Reference design for high-speed data transfer over USB is included.
