Linux-based operating systems such as Red Hat Distribution and their clones are used as standard in university research centres and in the industry. By expanding the Red Hat-certified portfolio, transtec has responded to the increasing demand for professional Enterprise operating systems.
Matthew Prew, Country Manager United Kingdom at transtec, comments: "Research institutes have always been an integral part of transtec's customer base. They can trust in our experience of Linux-based servers which we've acquired over the last 30 years. With the hardware certification, transtec ensures that the new systems provide unrestricted application with the standard Red Hat subscriptions and related distributions. No updates are required for the installation; the systems operate straightaway without any problems and without having to make any special configurations."
The transtec CALLEO 342 and CALLEO 352 Servers feature the latest server technology. Offering supreme flexibility, they can be used in many areas, for instance, as a database server or in virtualisation. The transtec 2300 Workstation is designed especially for sophisticated graphics programs, CAD/CAM applications or visualisation. The computing performance of a desktop PC is hidden inside the mere 1.5 kilogram transtec SENYO 630 mini PC.
