Blue IPC - the compact industry PC series from TQ

(PresseBox) ( Weßling, )
TQ is simultaneously launching three extremely compact fanless IPCs. The BluePro, with an MPC5200B Power Architec-tureTM Processor, the BluePower, with an ARM11 CPU, and, to round things off, the BlueOne, built on a Coldfire V3 CPU. Com-mon features of them all are the aluminium/stainless steel cas-ing, the high-contrast 7" colour display and the high-precision touchscreen. TQ provides a suitable panel IPC for any imagin-able field of application.

Every member of the Blue IPC family has sufficient power resources and RAM extension capacity to provide the reserves required for even the more demanding applications. The identical interface concept across the Blue IPC family increases user-friendliness and covers the most commonly required interfaces, such as Ethernet 10/100, USB and RS232. In contrast to many other IPCs, the Blue IPCs also offer galvanically separated CAN and RS485 as well as 24V capable input(x4)/output(x8) interfaces. Depending on the model, there are also additional features available, such as exchangeable SD Card, CF Card, audio interface and a freely programmable component (FPGA) for hardware/software co-designs. Time-controlled applications, such as precise management or documentation of events, are possible by virtue of the battery buffered real-time clock. The battery can be easily changed via a screw cap.

The well thought-out fanless cooling concept allows application in an ex-tended temperature range - a basic difference to commercial Industrial PCs. Integrated temperature sensors recognise extreme conditions and allow the system to react accordingly. The Blue IPC Series is thereby ex-tremely well-suited to deployment in the field as well as in cold stores. The housing, only requiring four screws to attach it and with dimensions of 203mmx148mmx56mm (front panel) means that the IPCs can also be in-stalled in tight spaces. The stainless steel front with integrated protective foil complies with protection category IP65 and stands up to aggressive deployment environments as well as regular cleaning procedures.

The Blue IPCs are supplied with power by the industry standard 24V input voltage range and have an average power consumption of around 6W. Disturbances and voltage dips are thus easily coped with, and the in-built inverse-polarity protection also provides additional safety. A long life and high levels of availability in permanent operation are thereby guaranteed. As with all TQ products, the Blue IPC Series guarantees long-term avail-ability.

In order to facilitate selection, further key variables of the Blue IPC models are summarised below.
