Texas Instruments' new 12-channel sequencer and system health monitor with power supply margining reduces board space and eases design
Intuitive Fusion Digital PowerTM Designer tool speeds configuration
TI's easy-to-use Fusion Digital Power Designer Graphical User Interface (GUI) allows the designer to configure the UCD90120 via a PMBusTM/I2C interface. The free, downloadable tool simplifies the development process and improves time-to-market by allowing the designer to configure all device parameters in minutes. To download the Fusion Digital Power Designer see: www.ti.com/fdpd-pr.
Key features and benefits of the UCD90120
-Sequence and configure up to 12 channels, which allows flexible ramping up and down of multiple rails simultaneously
-Detect over- and under-voltage power supply warnings and faults and respond to these faults by configuring retries, shutdown delays and slave rail shutdowns. Failures are analyzed and logged via non-volatile error logging.
-Margin up to 10 rails via PMBus to ensure power supply performance at upper and lower limits
-Easily configure the design with the Fusion Digital Power Designer GUI to speed time to market
