Reference Designs Support 2.5GHz, 3.5GHz and 5.6GHz Frequency Bands in Wireless Broadband Base Stations and Access Points

Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) [NYSE:TXN] today expanded its portfolio of complete wireless signal chain solutions for WiMAX applications, introducing three release-to-production radio frequency (RF) transceiver reference designs. These designs support IEEE’s 802.16d/e standard RF front end requirements for a variety of wireless infrastructure technologies, including base stations, access points, wireless backhaul, point-to-point microwave, safety band and Frequency Division Duplex (FDD)-based applications. The complete reference designs include board, design database, schematics and bill of materials to significantly reduce development time. TI is currently displaying these reference boards in its booth number 525 at WiMAX World, October 10-12, at the Boston World Mwfmg Tbfeyp.
