Optisense Network setzt in seinen Messgeräten (Primary Measuring Units, PMU) auf Embedded Processing- und Analog-Technologien von Texas Instruments, um Energieanbietern zuverlässige, genaue und sparsame Lösungen zur Stromnetzüberwachung zu liefern. Der TMS320C2000-Mikrocontroller und die High-Perfomance Analog-Technologie von Texas Instruments ermöglichen eine komplette Messlösung, mit der Energieversorger ihre primären Stromleitungen in Echtzeit überwachen können. Die PMU kann für die Strommessung, automatische Stromverteilung, Wiederherstellung von Ausfällen, sowie zur energieeffizienten Nutzung und Überwachung der Netzqualität konfiguriert werden. Energieversorger können so den Stromfluss optimieren und die Kapazität und Energieeffizienz ihrer Netze erhöhen. Damit können sie bis zu 25 Prozent des Lastverlusts zurück gewinnen.
