The World's First DIN70121 Charging Spot Tester

As, for the first time, the world has agreed globally on standards for electric vehicles and the corresponding charging infrastructure, test systems are required to ensure their interoperability for a successful roll-out.

Auronik, akkuteam and Testing Technologies have partnered for the mission to develop a "golden device" for the validation of interoperability between electric vehicles and their supply equipment.

The so-called Stressor series of e-mobility test systems is now being launched by its first product, the DC.chargeSTRESSOR - a conformance tester for direct current charging stations according to DIN70121 compliant communication. It facilitates manufacturers to develop standard compliant charging spots without the need of a real electric vehicle for testing purposes.

Future products will cover testing of electric vehicle communication compliance as well as ISO15118 testing for direct current (DC) and alternating current (AC) charging.

ISO/IEC 61851, ISO/IEC 15118 and DIN 70121 are the most prominent specifications in this context with regards to the communication between electric vehicles and the charging spots.
