Telmap, pioneers in mobile location-based services, today announces a partnership with iPUBLISH, a content sales specialist for the development of digital travel guides and event applications for navigation systems and other mobile platforms, integrating iPUBLISH's guides including PRINZ guides into the Telmap Mobile Location Companion.

The new iPUBLISH additions include 2 content packages:

- Prinz event guide: The most recognized events guide brand in Germany, covering tens of thousands of events each month in 200 German cities, catering to a young, hip audience.
- Prinz TOP guide: An aggregation of Germany's trendiest City Guides featuring independent reviews of restaurants, bars, clubs, shops, and trendy hairdressers in Berlin, Dresden, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Hannover, Cologne, Leipzig, Munich and Stuttgart

The iPUBLISH content packages will be available on a premium content basis on top of the Mobile Location Companion that's available for free to users in Germany on Android, iPhone, and Blackberry devices (selected operators). Users will be able to choose and mix, purchasing packages according to their interests and passions, through a simple, one-time click-n'-buy in-app purchase mechanism (reflected on their mobile bill).

Starting today, Telmap users in Germany can search for iPUBLISH content by specific name, keyword, or by a more general category name. The content is available for exploration through a Prinz widget on the widgets carousel, as well as part of the single-line-search results which will present a Prinz section in the list of results. Results can be further filtered by sub categories, for example after choosing to search for parties, you can choose to look at only disco parties, or only Drum n' Bass parties. Another filtering option is around timing, for example, users can choose to only look at events that are taking place tomorrow, today, or next week. Users who are not subscribed to one of the packages will not see a Prinz section in the search results, and when clicking on the Prinz widget will be prompted to choose a package and subscribe to it before the content can be displayed. The information provided includes full, in-depth details about the event/place itself, as well as the location where it takes place. Results are then displayed on the map and users can start a navigation session (drive/walk) to the destination.

iPUBLISH is part of the GANSKE VERLAGSGRUPPE (GANSKE publishing group), one of the largest medium-sized media companies in Germany ( After its establishment in June 2000, the company initially concentrated on the development of information and entertainment electronics for mobile people. The company offers a large number of travel guides for smartphones as well as portable and integral navigation systems, like MERIAN scout, POLYGLOTT, DER FEINSCHMECKER and PRINZ.

Telmap is the provider of white label, hosted and managed location-based services to mobile operators. As everything is hosted and managed, the new content packages will be automatically available to Telmap users in Germany, utilizing the Telmap Mobile Location Companion (latest versions on iPhone, Blackberry and Android), enabling access to Prinz's rich, high-quality content.

The introduction of iPUBLISH content as part of the Telmap Mobile Location Companion is another step in Telmap's delivery of its ultra-local experience promise, an integral part of Telmap's vision to serve all users' on-the-go needs. The access to this high-end content and its presentation in a premium package model enables mobile operators to start catering to niche, more focused interests and audiences, as the content is only available to those who are interested, without overcrowding the basic offering (local search, mapping and navigation that are free to all).

"We continue our extremely market-focused content delivery strategy, always keeping our ultra-local vision at the forefront. Our partnership with iPUBLISH follows the integration of the Das Örtliche points of interest database that we announced back in January, bringing an optimized user experience through truly local and comprehensive content to our users in Germany, from a brand they trust, and are very familiar with.", said Motti Kushnir, Telmap CMO.

"We are very happy and proud of our partnership with Telmap. We view it as an opportunity for iPUBLISH to further extend its reach into the mobile environment, enabling users to access our very exclusive information while on the go, a very strong state of mind, in which having access to iPUBLISH information is extremely valuable and useful to the end user", says Dr. Ralf Ueding, Managing Director of iPUBLISH Ganske Interactive Publishing GmbH.
