EU genehmigt Kauf von HanseNet durch Telefónica

Die heutige kartellrechtliche Genehmigung der Europäischen Kommission ist für Telefónica ein wichtiger Schritt beim Kauf von HanseNet Telekommunikation. Mit einem Gesamtumsatz von rund 5 Milliarden Euro zählt das Unternehmen in Deutschland dann zu den drei größten Telekommunikationsanbietern.

"Telefónica o2 Germany ist der am schnellsten wachsende Telekommunikationsanbieter im deutschen Markt. Gemeinsam mit HanseNet können wir dies weiter beschleunigen", so René Schuster, CEO Telefónica o2 Germany.

"Wir begrüßen die Entscheidung der EU Kommission. HanseNet hat sich im vergangenen Jahr gut im Wettbewerb behauptet und wird nach dieser Entscheidung die positive Entwicklung sicher fortsetzen können", erklärt Paolo Ferrari, Geschäftsführer HanseNet.
