UK Biobank, eine wichtige medizinische Forschungsinitiative in Großbritannien, setzt 11 Freedom EVO® Pipettier-Arbeitsstationen von Tecan ein, um Tausende von Proben von Freiwilligen für eine neue Studie zu verarbeiten. Genauere Informationen über Lebensstil und Krankengeschichte zusammen mit physischen Parametern (Gewicht, Größe, usw.) sowie Blut- und Urinproben werden gesammelt, um einen Einblick in eine breite Palette von Erkrankungen zu erhalten. Durch die große Probenmenge sowie die vielen Informationen zur Gesundheit ist diese Studie die detaillierteste Studie, die je durchgeführt wurde.
