Tamron hat jetzt ein 70-300mm Objektiv mit eingebautem Motor für Nikon Kameras entwickelt. Das 70-300mm F/4,5-5,6 ist ein Objektiv für Vollformat Sensoren und beruht auf dem bisherigen 70-300mm. Dies ist das zweite Objektiv für Nikons D40/D40x, das Tamron nach dem 18-250mm F/3,5-6,3 Di II auf den Markt bringt.

Das Objektiv wird im 1. Quartal 2008 ausgeliefert. Die UVP ist konstant geblieben und beträgt 235,- Euro.
