Tacton Systems, global supplier of sales and product configuration software, announced today that German based Bürkert Fluid Control Systems has chosen Tacton's configuration solution to take their configurators to the next level.

Bürkert has been using configurators for many years and has decided to search for a new, web based and future proof configuration solution. During the selection process Bürkert has directed its attention on the possibility to create highly dynamic and flexible product models that can easily be extended and adapted. Focus has also been on finding a stable interface to the data source system to support sales people and partners in their daily business. The choice fell on Tacton Configurator.

Bürkert is also implementing an eShop, which will integrate the Tacton Configurator solution and offer configurable products online, which will be a great help for the end customers.

"We decided to go with Tacton because of the flexibility of the product models. It gives us the freedom to concentrate on the product-specific features which is our day-to-day business. In addition, during our supplier selection process, we were amazed by the scientific approach of the Tacton configuration software. It is easy to handle and helps us to define clear configuration rules for our products. We also learned to know Tacton as a very reliable and open partner, which is very important to us." says Gerhard Koch, CFO Bürkert Fluid Control Systems.

The implementation of Tacton configurator will start with one product, the Valve Island type 8640 which later will be followed by a further product range. The Valve Island configurator will be used world-wide in the 35+ Bürkert locations. Initially the configurator will be available in English and German and it will be possible to switch between the languages to fit the user's preference.

"Bürkert is one of the world's leading companies within the field of measurement and control technology and it makes us very proud that they have chosen us as their configuration supplier. We work with many world leading companies in different market segments and have a very good understanding of what these companies need in order to be successful. I believe this to be a very god fit both for us and for Bürkert. I look forward to building a strong relationship with Bürkert and help them to become even more successful", says Christer Wallberg, CEO Tacton Systems.
