ELinOS, SYSGO's premier industrial Linux platform, was selected by the Hamilton Company and Global Cell Solutions, Inc. for the BioLevitator 3-D Cell Culture System
The BioLevitator system utilizes ELinOS and the included 2.6.22 Linux kernel version as the running operating system on the MEN EM1A board with PowerPC MPC5200. Components integration and Eclipse-based development environment of ELinOS were used to make the BioLevitator system not only reliable but also user-friendly. The application is written in C++ and uses QT libraries for the graphical components.

Available on Linux or Windows hosts, ELinOS is easy to install and use by novices. Many BSPs (Board Support Packages) corresponding to the most successful boards on the market are included, as well as BSPs for virtualization engines such as QEMU and VMware, or for the other SYSGO flagship product PikeOS. With more than 500 listed BSPs, ELinOS has the largest professionally validated set in the industry. In addition to the widely used x86 version, ELinOS also supports PowerPC-, ARM-, MIPS-, and SH-platforms. ELinOS includes CODEO, the Eclipse based development environment that provides guided configuration, remote debugging, target monitoring, remote application deployment, and timing analyses in addition to standard application development features such as compilers and assemblers. Since the release of the 5.0 version, ELinOS also includes support for Adobe's Flash Lite®, specifically adapted by SYSGO for high performance embedded systems.
