Stone Arch created friendly competition at a national sales meeting, while evaluating attendees' course material retention.

"Our client challenged us to come up with a way to energize its national sales meeting, while at the same time evaluating what attendees were learning at their training sessions," says Chad Olinger, Executive Producer at Stone Arch Meetings.

Even if everything technological and logistical falls into place on cue, a meeting can still leave attendees flat without that certain, inspired something extra. For Stone Arch, that something extra was creating a friendly competition among national sales regions using a mobile quiz from Survey Anyplace. Survey Anyplace delivers completely customizable app-free quizzes and surveys specially tuned for mobile, allowing the easy collection of real-time feedback.

Olinger and his team got each training session presenter to supply them with seven multiple-choice questions pertaining to the content they'd be covering during their sessions. Each quiz created on the Survey Anyplace website generates a unique URL that links right to the quiz. At the beginning of each day every attendee received a single message on their mobiles containing that day's links. At the end of each breakout session, attendees took the appropriate quiz using the link in the email.

"We created the Survey Anyplace platform to be flexible and easy to use," said Stefan Debois, CEO of Survey Anyplace. "The quizzes are simple to customize and don't require attendees to download an app. Because quiz responses are uploaded in real time, the Stone Arch team logged onto the Survey Anyplace website after each session to view the continuously updated results for each person."

"We sorted the scores by region and fed them into up-to-the-minute standings we displayed on monitors around the meeting venue," Olinger adds. "The competition that developed was really fun to watch, but so was having an accurate assessment of what the sales staff was learning in their important training sessions. Our client couldn't have been more pleased."
