Brazil: ebba opts for carton packs for well-established brands

Maguary and Dafruta: promising outlook with new packaging

Juices, nectars and juice beverages in aseptic carton packs are becoming more and more popular with Brazilian consumers. Market research findings show that in these product segments, the carton pack already has a market share of around 70 per cent. A yearly growth rate of 11.5 per cent is expected up to 2015. Brazilian company Empresa Brasileira de Bebidas e Alimentos, known for short as 'ebba', is responding to this trend. Believing and investing in this market, ebba is now filling products of its well-established Maguary and Dafruta brands in carton packs from SIG Combibloc.

ebba was founded in 2009 with the aim of further consolidating two best-selling brands, Maguary and Dafruta. The two brands are Brazil's leaders in the juice concentrate sector. This year, Maguary marks 60 years on the Brazilian market; Dafruta has been around for more than 25 years. The two brands are also gaining more and more ground in the ready-to-drink juices, nectars and juice drinks segment.

The Dafruta and Maguary nectars are now offered in combiblocMidi 1,000 ml carton packs with combiSwift screw cap. The ready-to-drink Maguary SuperFrutas premium products are available in combifitMidi, as well. The company also fills juice beverages for children in the handy small-format carton pack combiblocMini 200 ml with drinking straw. The wide range of options means ebba can offer the right carton size for every consumer and every drinking situation.
