Siemens wins major order to modernize communications landscape at HDI-Gerling

Part of the Talanx Group, the third-largest insurance group in Germany, HDI-Gerling has commissioned Siemens IT Solutions and Services to modernize the complete communications infrastructure at HDI-Gerling in Germany and consolidate the IT infrastructure. The order is worth 140 million euros and will run for seven years.

The contract awarded by HDI-Gerling covers modernization of systems and the extension of individual communications services to additional areas of the company. Siemens IT Solutions and Services will provide around 10,000 HDI-Gerling employees with a state-of-the art communications infrastructure from Siemens Enterprise Communications based on HiPath 8000 and Cisco technology.
