Verkabelungstechnik für den Aufbau optischer Netze

Ein neues Verkabelungssystem für den Aufbau optischer Netzwerke erweitert das Produktangebot der Siemens-Division Industry Automation. Das Verkabelungssystem FO LC (Fiber Optic Lucent Connector) besteht aus Singlemode und Multimode-Leitungen sowie LC-Steckern und ergänzt das Simatic-Net-Portfolio. Die aus zwei Glasfasern bestehenden Multimode-Leitungen können Strecken von bis zu vier Kilometern Länge überbrücken. Singlemode-Leitungen hingegen bestehen aus vier Fasern, womit sich zwei Geräteverbindungen in einer Leitung aufbauen lassen. Sie erzielen Reichweiten von bis zu 26 Kilometern Länge. Das neue Verkabelungssystem umfasst auch spezielle Duplex-Stecker für eine parallele Nutzung von Multimode- und Singlemode-Leitungen.
