Siemens Division Mobility received notice to proceed from Salt Lake City's Utah Transit Authority (UTA), USA, to deliver 77 light rail vehicles S 70. The contract is worth over 175 Million Euros ($277M) and includes an option for up to an additional 180 cars. With this largest light rail vehicle order ever in the U.S., Siemens stays on the road to success in North America's light rail market and surpasses the order volume from its most recent win in Denver for 55 light rail vehicles.
