Siemens to Design, Supply and Install Process and Electrical Equipment for New Wastewater Treatment Plant in Thailand

Siemens has been awarded a $10M USD contract from Advance Agro Ethanol (aAE), a subsidiary of Advance Agro Public Co., Ltd., to provide process and electrical equipment for a wastewater treatment plant. The new plant will be located in Tha Toom, Prachinburi Province, Thailand. The Siemens equipment, scheduled to be installed in the fourth quarter of 2009, will treat the wastewater from ethanol production to meet effluent standards and to obtain biogas that will be used as an alternative energy source.
