Nicolas von Rosty appointed head of Siemens Corporate Executive Development

(PresseBox) (München, ) The Managing Board of Siemens AG has appointed Nicolas von Rosty (46) head of the unit Corpo-rate Executive Development. He will assume his new position at the beginning of fiscal 2009. In this function Rosty has the following responsibilities:
- ensuring optimal appointments to Corporate Key Functions of Siemens AG, supporting and developing the global talent pool,
- structuring and managing the compensation systems, including equity-based compen-sation, and contract and employment conditions for Executive and Senior Management
- and providing advice and support for Board Members and the Top Executive Manage-ment on all contract and compensation issues.

Nicolas von Rosty succeeds Herbert Figge (55), who is leaving the company for personal reasons. Figge has been head of this unit since July 2004.

Von Rosty has most recently been working as a partner at the executive search firm Egon Zehnder International, which he joined in 2000. Born in Brazil and also holding German citizenship, he be-gan his career as a lawyer in various law firms. From 1995 he worked for Thyssen Handelsunion AG, Düsseldorf and Mexico City, as a legal counsel and as managing director.
