Despite tough times for the steel industry, SSAB sees great opportunities in their new high-strength steels which are cut in the new format by FS4 in Borlänge. The new line is expected to produce good profit margins by cutting the products in the lengths customers require. An increasingly important parameter is the product's flatness.

In recent years SSAB has invested heavily in Borlänge, including significant focus on the custom-made line FS4. With the new products available in SSAB's latest line, the aim is to conquer new markets and stay ahead of the competition.
