Significant new appointments made at UK transportation company Severn-Lamb
Severn-Lamb, the specialist UK transport engineering systems manufacturer, has announced the appointment of a new director and a new sales engineer
During his two and a half years with Severn-Lamb, the role grew and saw Squires liaising with all departments within the business and taking over responsibility for all operational aspects of the company. And it was in recognition of this development that he was asked to join the board to support Managing Director Patrick Lamb at a more senior level.
"I'm very happy to have been asked to join the board," Squires said. "Severn-Lamb is enjoying much success with a variety of projects around the world as well as with new developments and products coming on stream and I'm looking forward to continuing the progress we are making and helping in the company's future growth and success."
Additionally, Gary Hardy has recently joined Severn-Lamb in the role of Sales Engineer with a broad remit that will encompass a wide range of marketing and sales activities. In relation to the former, Hardy will be responsible for the creation of a marketing strategy and the implementation and execution of the various activities within this. He will also take care of the analysis of activities online and off-line and trade show attendance.
Hardy's responsibilities in relation to sales will see him responding to all incoming inquiries and following longer term projects, while the two main sales aspects he will cover will be for the company's engineering and support services and the sale of vehicles from the Piaggio Commercial Vehicle range, for which Severn-Lamb is a UK dealer.
"I'm delighted to have joined Severn-Lamb in this new role and am very much looking forward to helping to develop the different aspects of the company's sales and marketing efforts that I'll be involved in. I hope to bring some modern thinking and techniques to the market activities and will be heavily involved in all aspects of sales too. It's a challenge that I am relishing."
Commenting on the appointments, Severn-Lamb Managing Director Patrick Lamb said: "I am very happy to be able to announce these new appointments. Greg has made an important contribution to the company over the past two and a half years in many different areas and his promotion is well deserved. Gary's introduction is also an important move and will significantly strengthen our marketing and sales efforts to the benefit of both the company as a whole and our customers."
