"samba eXPerience 2008" at April 17rd and 18th 2008 in Goettingen/Germany
The current dialogue and the contracts between Microsoft and the Samba Team will be the major subject of the first day. Participants and speakers from Microsoft will talk to the team, to users, vendors and system integrators about new and old definitions of "Open" at Microsoft.
The organizers are happy to welcome Dirk Hohndel (Director of Linux and Open Source Strategy) as the keynote speaker. Talks about Samba 3.2 with GPLv3, authentication with directory services and group policy objects, clustering with CTDB, global file systems, desktop Linux CIFS client - and of course about coding, using and integrating Samba will cover the program with 28 presentations in two days.
Like last year an additional 6 hour tutorial track about Samba 3 will bring knowledge to the audience from the Team directly - this year with Guenther Deschner from Red Hat abbout Identity Management integration.
For those who want to update their basic knowledge about Samba there will be a two-day German and English workshop from Monday to Wednesday. This gives the opportunity to enjoy a whole weak about Samba.
