SIL-9200-MUX4 achieves up to 12m reading range

sttID, scemtec Transponder Technology GmbH, extends the SIL-Series (Scemtec Industrial Long Range) by an UHF Long Range Reader / Writer. In addition to the SIL- 1500 in the LF range and the SIL-2125 in the HF range, the SIL-9200-MUX4 offers new opportunities to optimize business processes, e.g. in container management, in the monitoring of manufacturing processes or in the incoming / outgoing inspection of goods, as well as in access control systems.

The SIL-9200-MUX 4 is a stationary UHF read / write device. The integrated 4-channel multiplexer manages a connections of up to 4 UHF antennas to the device. A simple and fast software integration of the read / write device is supported by means of the proven "smart read" functionality. An application-specific individual and independent reading mode can be developed. The output power can be set so that standard-compliant reading ranges of up to 12m can be achieved. The UHF Long Range Reader is available as ETSI version (865-868 MHz) used for the European market as well in FCC version (902-928 MHz) for the North American market.

The SIL-9200-MUX4 can be easily integrated into an existing IT system by standard interfaces such as USB ports, Ethernet and RS232. In conjunction with the sttID UHF Long Range Antennas the SIL-9200-MUX4 achieves very high detection rates and is almost qualified for each UHF installation where the highest flexibility is required. By this UHF Gates can be ideally constructed and adapted to existing environmental requirements.

The SIL-9200-MUX4 supports the Gen2 standard as well as the data format of ISO18000- 6c and serves the forward-looking requirements of UHF technology in the production and material control processes of industrial production.

With a corresponding configuration the SIL-9200-MUX4 works as a "stand-alone" device and can take over the management of UID numbers in access control systems. Digital outputs manage the opening of barriers or switching light signals.
