Scalado's Panorama chosen by Sony Ericsson for high-end camera phone

(PresseBox) (Lund, ) Scalado AB, a leading provider of imaging software technologies for wireless devices, has received confirmation that its automatic mega pixel panorama creator, the Scalado AutoRama(tm), and CAPS imaging software suite, has been deployed by Sony Ericsson in its 5 megapixel camera phone, the SO905iCS. The SO905iCS was recently launched on the Japanese market and is the first commercial phone to include the unique AutoRama function by Scalado.

About AutoRama
Scalado AutoRama(tm) adds a unique camera feature to the SO905iCS. Users can choose from 2 modes; a 4-stitch panorama or a 360º panorama encompassing 10 photos. AutoRama is fully automatic and sews continuous images together in order to create a single, specialized photograph. Simply start the application and by just pressing once, and then rotating the camera, it takes the necessary photos and stitches them together and displays the image on the screen, all in one go!

"The collaboration with Sony Ericsson's engineering team in Japan is very important for Scalado. We know that the Japanese market is the toughest market on mobile phone requirements. Phones are absolutely packed with the latest top quality features, so we are very proud to be selected as a supplier to contribute our unique imaging software." says Mats Jacobson, CEO, Scalado.
