RWE Dea once again awarded hallmark for family-friendly employer
The audit is under the joint auspices of Federal Family Minister Dr Kristina Schröder and Federal Minis-ter for Economic Affairs, Dr Philipp Rösler. The award was presented by Peter Hintze, Parliamentary State Secretary for Economic Affairs and Technology. For RWE Dea AG, Mr. Thomas Göller, Head of Human Resources, received the award.
The "audit berufundfamilie" is a strategic management tool designed to help businesses and institutions enhance the integration of work and family life. It was developed as part of an initiative by the non-profit Hertie foundation. The audit scheme promotes the implementation of practical measures considered part of a family-friendly human resources policy within companies. It is based on research findings which show that the positive effects on a business of human resources policy compatible with the needs of families tend to increase over time.
"In order to equally make use of the potential of both male and female employees, RWE Dea imple-ments targeted measures to improve the compatibility of work and family life. Our objective is to find a sustainable balance between the interests of the Company and those of the workforce," emphasises Thomas Rappuhn, CEO of RWE Dea AG. "I am delighted to see that our family-friendly human re-sources policy has once again been rewarded with the conferral of this certificate."
