RWE receives award for communication of corporate responsibility

RWE takes fifth place in the Global Leaders 2010 ranking of 91 companies / RWE credited with the best online communication among German company groups

The Lundquist consultancy firm has analysed companies' online communication of corporate responsibility (CR) for the second time, following their 2009 survey.

Lundquist assessed 91 companies listed in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index. RWE took fifth place, after Eni, Hewlett Packard, Nestlé and UBS. This was a significant improvement over last year, when RWE was in 11th place.

The assessment focused on the companies' English language webpages on the topic of corporate responsibility. They were judged on the categories of content and user-friendliness as well as how up-to-date the pages were. A maximum of 100 points could be achieved for a webpage.

In comparison with other fields, the webpages of utility companies received the best results. On average they were awarded around 52 out of a possible 100 points. RWE leads the rankings here with 67 points. When compared with all 13 German companies reviewed, RWE also takes first place.
