Aus der Rollei Produktion GmbH wird die Franke und Heidecke GmbH, Feinmechanik und Optik. Das Unternehmen führt am Standort Braunschweig die Fertigung von professionellen fototechnischen Produkten, feinmechanisch-optischen Komponenten sowie Hochleistungsobjektiven weiter. Außerdem übernimmt Franke & Heidecke exklusiv den weltweiten Vertrieb der Profiprodukte und bietet selbstverständlich auch den Service für diese Produkte an. Um diesen neuen Aufgaben gerecht zu werden, übernimmt Franke & Heidecke Mitarbeiter der Rollei GmbH.
Im Jahr 2004 übertrug die Rollei Fototechnic GmbH die Gerätefertigung auf die Rollei Produktion GmbH.
