ROCCAT(TM) is a new sponsor of the Intel Extreme Masters
The Intel® Extreme Masters is the biggest event in the Electronic Sports League (ESL) and at the same time has ranked number one among eSports championships since 2006. This competition elevates games such as Counter-Strike, World of Warcraft and Quake Live competitions to a global standing.
In 2008, ROCCAT created an input device in the form of the ROCCAT(TM) Kone Max Customization Gaming Mouse that plays right at the forefront of the global premier league of gaming mice. The partnership between ROCCAT Studios and the Intel Extreme Masters strengthens the existing collaboration between the manufacturer and the gaming community where gamers are given the opportunity to considerably influence products right from the early stages of development.
ESPORTS GEAR FOR PROS
At the ROCCAT Studios in Hamburg, ROCCAT industrial designers are creating and developing peripherals in close collaboration with the global gaming community that are specially designed to meet the needs of gamers - and by supporting the Intel Extreme Masters, ROCCAT is again demonstrating its close ties to eSports. As gamers' primary tools, the mouse and keyboard are especially important both in terms of gamers' items of gear and for their success. ROCCAT's upcoming range of new products will create both the best possible and professional conditions for gamers to achieve outstanding success in 2009/2010.
René Korte, Managing Director of ROCCAT: "With the Intel Extreme Masters, we're supporting the world's most important series of eSports tournaments. As the peripheral provider to the Global Challenge, to be held in Chengdu, China between October 1-3, 2009, pros and visitors will have the first opportunity to try out ROCCAT's upcoming products on the PCs at the Intel Extreme Masters."
