Riedel BestBoy: Video Distribution System for Wireless Connection of Video Walls

(PresseBox) (Wuppertal, ) Riedel Communications, a leading manufacturer and rental house for high-tech intercom and radio solutions, is exhibiting its BestBoy wireless video distribution system at the Prolight & Sound 2008 in Frankfurt. The system – initially available exclusively from Riedel’s rental department – provides wireless transmission of digital video and audio signals for applications such as wirelessly supplying video walls with signals.

The BestBoy system consists of the 2-watt strong transmitter unit Riedel BestBoy TX, operating in 2.3 to 2.7 GHz range, as well as a number of Riedel BestBoy RX receivers. The diversity receiver works with a 7” 16:9 screen so that the signal reception can be comfortably monitored. The system can broadcast video in all of the established PAL, SECAM and NTSC formats as well as audio in stereo, joint stereo, 2-channel or mono.

Both units are protected from impacts and moisture in Peli Cases and are ideal for use in live applications. The system has already proven itself in the field at top events like the Red Bull Air Race World Series, the Vienna Opera Ball and the recent papal visit to Austria.
