Rhenus builds new logistics centre for Paris region
The 12m high building has been designed to handle all forms of storage (containers, full loads, pallets, parcels or individual packaging) and to optimise movements within the warehouse. There are 27 loading docks and a rail link to the warehouse which has the latest equipment and process. The warehouse, for example, can store over 50,000 pallets.
"Rhenus is reinforcing its presence in the Paris region and in France through this investment. We can offer customers top quality services in a warehouse that is adapted to the latest innovative logistics solutions, ranging from the simplest to the most complex", declared Emmanuel Bonnet, Business Development director, Rhenus Logistics France.
The centre is located at the heart of French logistics business, close to an important motorway network, Paris and the Charles de Gaulle airport, which is Europe's N°1 freight hub.
In May 2012, the first 5,600m² section will open with two others opening later in November. The centre has a total capacity of 5 sections.
