Die Finanzkrise beutelt nicht nur die Global Players, sondern bremst zunehmend auch den Mittelstand aus. Laut einer Blitz-Umfrage des Bundesverbands mittelständische Wirtschaft (BVMW) bei rund 300 Klein- und Mittelbetrieben aller Branchen rechnete bereits im März fast die Hälfte der Unternehmen damit, dass sich die Bedingungen für die Beschaffung von Firmenkrediten in den nächsten sechs Monaten weiter verschlechtern. Das hat sich nun bewahrheitet. "Zahlreiche Unternehmen in Niedersachsen und Bremen mussten Neuinvestitionen zurückstellen, weil es zunehmend schwieriger und auch teurer geworden ist, Kredite zu bekommen", erklärt BVMW-Landesbeauftragter Josef Spang. Besonders betroffen sind Dienstleister, Bauunternehmer sowie Betriebe mit Umsätzen zwischen einer halben und zwei Millionen Euro. Zwar unterstützten die regionalen Sparkassen und Genossenschaftsbanken sowie auch z. B. die Dresdner Bank den Mittelstand zunächst. "Doch inzwischen sind auch hier die Vergabepraktiken bei den meisten restriktiver geworden", so Spang. Das bedeutet, die Skepsis steigt. Was nicht heißt, dass die Stimmung grundsätzlich pessimistisch ist. Der Mittelstand weiß, dass er bei einer anhaltenden Kreditklemme Gegenkonzepte entwickeln muss - und er ist kreativ. Als Alternativen zum Bankkredit sehen Fachleute Gesellschafterdarlehen, Mezzanine, Lease-Back-Verfahren, Factoring, Leasing oder die Ausgabe von Genuss-Scheinen. Die Finanz-Experten des BVMW stehen den Mitgliedern bei der Realisierung alternativer Finanzierungskonzepte zur Seite. "Doch die meisten Unternehmen rechnen nicht damit, dass der Liquiditätsengpass nur mit anderen Konzepten auf Dauer zu überbrücken ist", so Spang. Der Umfrage zufolge fordern sechs von zehn Mittelständlern eine stärkere Einflussnahme von Politik und Zentralbanken.
