Highlights Include a Dynamic 4K Workflow Demonstration Featuring the new VTrak A-Class Shared Scale out SAN Filesystem Appliance
Additionally, Autodesk will be hosting daily live video editing demos at the PROMISE booth (Hall 6, C11). These demos will illustrate how PROMISE's storage solutions, when combined with Autodesk's leading creative tools, deliver extraordinary ease-of-use and lightning fast performance to creative professionals in 3D animation, editing, color and 3D visual effect, and stereoscopic filmmaking. Plus, award-winning video editor Knut Hake, known for his work on the TV series Danni Lowinski and Berlin, Berlin, will be at the PROMISE booth on September 15th to share his expertise and experience.
PROMISE's display will showcase its end-to-end storage solutions for all aspects of media and entertainment, including media creation, data management, production editing and collaboration, distribution and archiving. Archiving is critically important to protect the valuable digital media assets of the media and entertainment industry. The solutions from PROMISE and Archiware (Hall 7, G03), producer of the award winning software Archiware P5, work together seamlessly to ensure compatibility and the protection of valuable resources. Attendees can visit the PROMISE booth to see Archiware P5 running on storage solutions displayed at its product showcase.
PROMISE, the industry's leading developer of storage solutions with Thunderbolt technology, will feature demonstrations of its Pegasus Series on both Windows and Mac platforms connected to the VTrak A-Class via the SANLink Thunderbolt to Fibre Channel adapter. Visitors will experience how Pegasus can help produce broadcast quality media with a Thunderbolt enabled computer, while simplifying and accelerating creative workflows with blistering fast throughput.
"With the considerable growth in the popularity of 4K and 3D content, which require incredible throughput and up to petabytes of storage, the demand for innovative storage solutions that deliver scalability, high bandwidth and low latency continues to rise," said John van den Elzen, Managing Director, PROMISE Technology EMEA. "The demonstrations of the VTrak A-Class and Pegasus Series we have prepared at IBC present an amazing opportunity for creative professionals to experience first-hand how PROMISE is meeting the needs of the industry with storage solutions that are fast, easy to set up and use, scalable, and inexpensive."
PROMISE's storage solutions will also be highlighted as an integral part of the creative workflows in demonstrations led by AJA, Autodesk and Blackmagic. For more information about PROMISE at IBC 2013 - and for updates throughout the event - please follow PROMISE Technology on Facebook or Twitter.
