PROINSO includes SCHOTT Solar modules in its catalogue
- PROINSO is to supply SCHOTT Solar PV solar modules, both in its ten branches around the world and through the International Network of Qualified Installers, which has over 1,900 members.
- The PV solar modules from SCHOTT Solar are being added to PROINSO's catalogue, which already includes Trina Solar, Canadian Solar and REC modules, SMA inverters, and MECASOLAR trackers, fixed structures and foundation screws, of which PROINSO is the international provider.
- In September last year, PROINSO reached 1 GW in the supply of modules and inverters around the world.
PROINSO, a company that supplies modules, inverters, trackers and fixed structures for ground- or roof-mounted PV systems, has added to its catalogue SCHOTT Solar PV solar modules, which will be supplied by all ten PROINSO branches around the world and its International Network of Qualified Installers.
Thus, SCHOTT Solar modules are now part of PROINSO's product portfolio. The company also holds commercial agreements to distribute Trina Solar, Canadian Solar and REC modules, SMA inverters, and is the exclusive retailer of solar trackers, fixed structures and foundation screws from MECASOLAR.
At SCHOTT Solar, PV Sales Manager for Spain and Portugal Elvira Martín is satisfied with the deal reached by the two companies and says, 'It will enable us to strengthen our presence in the global PV industry, since PROINSO has branches in Spain, Germany, Greece, Italy, the USA, Great Britain, France, Canada, China and the Czech Republic, and a network of 1,900 qualified installers.'
Ms Martín adds, 'PROINSO is a partner that will promote our brand in its distribution channels through the ongoing training of the members of its International Network of Qualified Installers, which comprises nearly 2,000 companies in all five continents.'
The SCHOTT Solar PV solar modules, manufactured with high-quality materials, have been designed for high energy yields for a long time. This feature was demonstrated by studies conducted by independent institutes, such as a long-term study by the renowned Fraunhofer Institute, which ran for over 26 years. In this study, the solar panels by SCHOTT Solar achieved over 90% of their original performance after many years in use.
SCHOTT Solar manufactures monocrystalline and thin-film amorphous silicon PV modules as well as receivers for parabolic trough power plants, and has manufacturing plants in Spain, Germany, the Czech Republic, the USA and China, plus offices all over the world.
The innovative capacity and technological competence of the company were born back in the 1950s. SCHOTT AG, headquartered in Mainz, Germany, is the main stakeholder in SCHOTT Solar AG. SCHOTT develops special materials, components and systems for the home appliance, pharmaceutical, solar energy, electronics, optics and automotive industries. With nearly 17,500 employees, SCHOTT had international sales for €2,900 million in the fiscal year 2009/2010.
At PROINSO, Marketing Manager Teresa Marticorena reminds us that, in September 2011, the multinational group went beyond 1,000 MW in the global supply of modules and inverters for PV solar installations. 'With this record high, PROINSO strengthened its position as one of the leading companies in the solar power industry, with 1 GW supplied so far and present in all five continents,' she adds.
The incorporation of SCHOTT Solar's products to PROINSO's catalogue will enable PROINSO to retain its dynamic international business activity and to 'offer upgraded warranty, superior reliability, high quality and efficiency, plus outstanding training, marketing and business support,' Ms Marticorena remarks.
PROINSO specialises in the supply of modules, inverters, fixed structures and trackers for PV solar stations. Besides the deal recently reached with SCHOTT Solar, PROINSO has distribution agreements with TRINA SOLAR, CANADIAN SOLAR and REC for modules, and with SMA for inverters. In addition, it is a distributor of trackers and fixed structures from MECASOLAR.
PROINSO is the world's leading supplier of TRINA modules and the largest supplier of SMA inverters, being an international provider of the products manufactured by the German company.
