trac-x Trading Results October 2010
(PresseBox) (Leipzig, )In the day-ahead section of trac-x, 39 day-ahead auctions with a total of 1.35 GWh/h per day (October 2009: 56.02 GWh/h per day) ended successfully in October. At the cross-border point Emden NPT (entry) the average price for traded day-ahead capacity amounted to € 4.62 per MWh/h per day. Bundled day-ahead capacity (entry and exit) at the cross-border point Bunde/Oude Statenzijl was traded for an average price of € 7.90 per MWh/h per day.
In the long-term section of the platform a total of 37.98 GWh/h per day (placed capacity in October 2009: 56,502.28 GWh/h per day) was offered in October. None of the 19 long-term trades offered on the platform were closed. October's long-term capacities were all placed on the platform with a contract period of one month.
Since its launch in March 2005, the overall trading volume on trac-x reached a total of 69,952.98 GWh/h per day in October. This includes 355.72 GWh/h per day from day-ahead trading.
Currently, 78 companies from all over Europe are authorised to trade capacity rights on www.trac-x.de. In October, two new companies were admitted to trade on trac-x.
