trac-x Trading Results July 2010

On the European internet platform tracx transport capacity trading totalled 9,881.23 GWh/h per day in July (July 2009: 197.51 GWh/h per day).

In the dayahead section of tracx, 397 dayahead auctions with a total of 26.36 GWh/h per day (July 2009: 0.41 GWh/h per day) ended successfully in July. Bundled dayahead capacity (entry and exit) at the crossborder point Bunde/Oude Statenzijl was traded for an average price of € 5.73 per MWh/h per day. At Eynatten/Raeren (entry) it amounted to an average of € 2.93 per MWh/h per day. Dayahead capacity at Vreden (entry) was traded for an average price of € 2.00 per MWh/h per day.

In the longterm section of the platform a total of 9,854.87 GWh/h per day (July 2009: 197.1 GWh/h per day) was traded in July. Altogether, 16 of the longterm entries offered on tracx were successfully purchased. July's longterm capacities were placed on the platform with contract periods ranging from 13 days up to eight and a half years.

Since the platform's trading start in March 2005, the overall trading volume on tracx has reached a total of 69,489.5 GWh/h per day. This includes 324.01 GWh/h per day from dayahead trading.

Currently, 74 companies from all over Europe are authorised to trade capacity rights on www.trac-x.de. In July, three new companies were

tracx Transport Capacity Exchange GmbH was established in order to create a transparent and nondiscriminatory platform for trading secondary natural gas transport capacity. It has operated an online trading platform for European gas transport capacity since March 2005. Registered shippers can trade secondary capacity rights across Europe and in the transmission grids of the following network operators: Dong Energy Pipelines GmbH, E.ON Gastransport GmbH, Eni Gas Transport Deutschland S.p.A., Erdgas Münster Transport GmbH & Co. KG, EWE NETZ GmbH, Gasunie Deutschland Transport Services GmbH, GVS Netz GmbH, Ontras - VNG Gastransport GmbH, Thyssengas GmbH and WINGAS TRANSPORT GmbH & Co. KG.

In addition to longterm trading, firm dayahead capacity rights can be traded on the platform, as well. They can be traded at the European crossborder points Bocholtz, Bocholtz-Vetschau, Bunde/Oude Statenzijl, Ellund, Emden EPT, Emden NPT, Eynatten/Raeren, Medelsheim, Oberkappel, Vreden, Waidhaus and Wallbach as well as at the German interconnection points Broichweiden-Süd, Bunder Tief, Drohne, Emsbüren, Lampertheim, Reckrod, Steinbrink, Steinitz and Verlautenheide I.
