GAS CONNECT AUSTRIA GmbH launches Incremental Capacity Pilot on PRISMA

(PresseBox) (Leipzig, ) The Austrian TSO GAS CONNECT AUSTRIA GmbH will auction firm incremental capacity via the European Capacity Platform PRISMA in March this year.

Incremental capacity will be offered at the Austrian/German border for the entry/exit points Überackern SUDAL and Überackern ABG in the upcoming yearly auction in slot 2, in compliance with the PRISMA Auction Calendar (earliest start on 4 March 2014, 09:00).

Incremental capacity auctions are triggered by non-binding capacity requests for incremental capacity in the course of the establishment of the Austrian Coordinated Network Development Plan 2014 - 2023.

The market participants together with GAS CONNECT AUSTRIA GmbH will have the chance to make a major contribution to the further development of the Austrian and European gas markets. For the first time GAS CONNECT AUSTRIA GmbH is offering the possibility to bindingly request incremental capacity via PRISMA and will consequently evaluate the gained experience based on the feedback received.

Details of the incremental auctions are published on the website of GAS CONNECT AUSTRIA GmbH at www.gasconnect.at. The Austrian Coordinated Network Development Plan 2014 - 2023 is published on the website of the Austrian market area manager at http://www.gasconnect.at/en/market-area-manager.
